BALLET

RAD Classical Ballet

Classical Ballet classes start from the age of 2, from our Little Stars class to RAD Intermediate or non-syllabus class for adults. For Classical Ballet we follow the Royal Academy of Dance Syllabi and enter children for exams yearly. Ballet is the perfect style of dance, whatever the age. Want to find out more? Express Yourself

Contemporary/Lyrical - The best form of dance to express yourself, whatever your emotion. A class to really dance and feel the music, whilst gaining flexibility, co-ordination and working as a team in partner work and group dances.


Modern - We follow the ISTD Syllabi, entering students for exams yearly. Modern is great for flexibity, musicality and focusing on the correct technique for the dancer.

TAP DANCE

ISTD Tap

Tap dance is a type of dance characterised by using the sounds of tap shoes striking the floor as a form of percussion. Tap focuses on musicality, as they master many rhythms.
Tap classes are available for those from age 2 - 102.

ACRO DANCE

Acrobatic Arts

Acro dance is a style of dance that combines classical dance technique with precision acrobatic elements. It is defined by its athletic character, its unique choreography, which seamlessly blends both dance and gymnastics. 
We have three levels of Acro - Mini, Junior & Intermediate - Following the Acrobatic Arts Syllabus, exams can be taken in this dance subject.

BREAK DANCE

BBOYS & BGIRLS

Break Dance, also called breaking or b-boying/b-girling, is an athletic style of street dance. While diverse in the amount of variation available in the dance, breakdancing mainly consists of four kinds movement: toprock, downrock, power moves and freezes. Break dance is typically set to songs containing drum breaks, especially in hiphop, funk, soul, and breakbeat music. We run 4 break dance classes, Mini, Junior and 2 Senior classes, these classes are run by Mr. Josh.

Street dance, also informally referred to as street, is an umbrella term which encompasses a range of dance styles characterised by descriptions such as hip hop, funk and breakdancing. Its eclectic nature has spawned a whole new street dance lexicon, including terms such as popping, locking, waving and krumping.
Our street dance classes are run by Miss Annie.

ADULT CLASSES

Dance is for everyone

Adult classes are for all ages and abilities, we offer Ballet, Tap and Contemporary classes. 

Ballet - You’ll be guided through the fundamentals of technique in a welcoming, lighthearted environment. We laugh and sweat our way through a classical ballet barre, gentle stretching, and build on our progress with movement across the floor. Join us for a dynamic, come-as-you-are class designed to combine a high-quality technical foundation with the freedom and joy of ballet. 

Tap - The rhythmic sound of tap for tap enthusiasts. These classes will work on floor progressions and choreography. Learning the fundamentals of tap dance, rhythms, timing.

Contemporary - This class will have a short warm up and then spend the majority of class learning and dancing new combinations every week. Whether inspired by a song, a feeling or a vision, each combination will be unique and allow for much individual artistic freedom.
